Can I book a private tour in Prague last minute, less than 48 hours?
Yes, contact me via WhatsApp +420 721 907 782.
Can I customize my private walking tour based on my interests?
Yes, absolutely! We can either create a completely custom tour together,
tailored to your interests and
pace, or you can choose one of my prepared routes and we can adjust it afterwards via email or
WhatsApp
to fit your preferences.
Can we visit interiors like churches or palaces during the tour?
Yes, we can plan anything together if you wish. However, none of my standard tours include interior
visits by default. Visits to churches, museums, or other interiors must always be arranged in
advance
and are at your own expense.
Are the tours suitable for children?
Prague Treasure Hunt is designed specifically for children of
all
ages (ideal age: 6–15 years) and features a treasure hunt with playful tasks. You can
also bring a stroller on this tour-most of the route is perfectly fine.
Prague Grand Tour and
Prague Highlights Tour
are generally better suited for adults or older children
around 15+, as they involve longer walks and more detailed storytelling.
What if we arrive late for the tour?
If you arrive late, I can usually wait for you if you inform me in advance.
Please call or message me as soon as possible, and I’ll do my best to adjust. Keep in mind that the
tour
still needs to finish at the scheduled time, as I may have other bookings afterwards.
What happens if it rains during my scheduled Prague walking tour?
The tour takes place in all weather conditions; we simply
adjust our pace and enjoy the city as it is. There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing.
The bonus? Most tourists stay in
their hotels, so we’ll practically have all of Prague to ourselves.
What is included in the price?
The price includes a private guide and a fully customizable tour.
Depending on the tour, additional benefits are included: the Prague Grand Tour includes a coffee
break,
the Prague Highlights Tour includes tram tickets, and the Prague Treasure Hunt includes a small gift
for
children. All guests also receive a 20% discount to the Cold War Museum in Prague as a bonus.
What is not included in the price?
The tour price does not include entry fees to churches, museums, or other interiors, food or drinks
(except for included coffee on the Prague Grand Tour). These costs are always at your own expense.
Is Prague walkable with a stroller, and are there stroller-friendly tours?
Yes, the 2h Prague Treasure Hunt is stroller-friendly. While
most of
the route is perfectly fine, I will help you carry the stroller up any occasional stairs
we might encounter.
I only have half a day in Prague; which tour should I take to see the
highlights?
The Prague Highlights Tour is a compact, 3-hour walk
designed to
capture the essence of the city. It covers must-see landmarks and hidden gems without feeling
rushed.
How do I pay (cash or card options) for Prague private tour?
Paid on the day of the tour, either by card or in cash (CZK, EUR, or USD).
Are these tours private, or will I be joined by other travelers?
All Prague Pathfinders experiences are 100% private. This ensures a personal connection and a
program
that is entirely focused on your group's interests and pace.
What is Matej’s background as a guide?
I am a certified local guide and a former Scout leader and IT teacher. My background in scouting
taught me how to lead groups naturally, while my teaching experience helps me share history as an
engaging story rather than a lecture.
How do I book a tour with Prague Pathfinders and check availability?
To book a tour, simply text me on WhatsApp +420 721 907 782.
I’m looking for a low-key, relaxed guide. Is this tour right for me?
Yes! I value quiet observation and genuine conversation over
loud, scripted presentations. Tours are relaxed and often feel like walking with a local friend.
I am a photographer. Will the guide help us find the best photo spots in Prague?
Definitely! Because the tours focus on "hidden gems" and overlook corners, you will find unique
perspectives and beautiful places away from the usual crowds of photographers.
Is the guide a Prague local or an expat?
I am a born-and-raised local guide who has spent my life exploring Prague's streets, parks, and
history.
What languages does the guide speak?
I speak fluent English and I am a native Czech speaker.
I have food allergies; can we still do the coffee break on the tour?
Absolutely. The Prague Grand Tour includes a stop at a local
café
to rest and recharge. We can select a location
that accommodates your specific dietary needs or allergies.
I’m an introvert and find standard tours overwhelming. Is this a good fit for
me?
Yes. I am also an introvert and prefer genuine human connection and quiet
observation over loud, scripted performances. These tours are relaxed, private, and move entirely at
your own pace without the pressure of a large group.
Can we talk about modern life and the current character of Prague, not just old
history?
Yes, while we cover history, the goal is to
show you the city through local eyes, sharing stories that reveal the city's current character and
what
it’s like to live here today.
Do you offer private tours for solo travelers, or is there a minimum group size?
Yes, private tours are available for solo travelers and there is no minimum group size.
All tours are fully private, so whether you are one person or a small group, the experience is
designed
just for you. You can simply enter your group size in the booking form when planning your tour.
Can the tour start directly at my hotel or a specific landmark of my choice?
Yes - the tour can start directly at your hotel or any landmark of your choice. Just write your
preferred meeting point in the booking notes and I’ll take care of the rest. This service is
included in
the price, with no extra fee within central Prague.
Are your private tours suitable for couples or honeymooners? Can we do a sunset
walk?
Yes, private tours are well suited for couples and honeymooners, and sunset or evening timing can be
arranged.
The route can include quieter, scenic locations away from crowds, such as parks or hidden streets in
Malá Strana, perfect for your love photos.
Can I bring a backpack or luggage on the tour?
Yes, bringing a small backpack or luggage is absolutely fine. The routes are flexible, and we can
adjust
the pace and stops if needed.
Can the tour focus on Cold War or Communist history in Prague?
Yes. We can adjust the tour to include topics like Communist-era Prague, the Cold War, everyday life
under the regime, and key locations connected to this period.
Bonus! When booking any of my tours you will receive a special 20% discount to the Cold War Museum
in
Prague.
Are you a licensed local guide in Prague? What does that mean?
Yes. I am a licensed local guide in the Czech Republic, which means I have passed official exams and
certification required for professional guiding.
This ensures accurate historical knowledge, verified qualifications, and a professional standard of
guiding in Prague.
